Grant: Who, What, When, Where, Why & How
School: Carroll Elementary

Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How is a grant that will impact approximately 574 elementary students from kindergarten to fourth grade. This funding will help to begin building a collection of social studies nonfiction six-packs of books for the campus literacy library. Teachers will borrow the six-packs of books and use them in guided reading groups as they pertain to the social curriculum and the reading levels of their students. The books will provide stimulating information to expand the student's thinking. The grant will also support the funding of professional support to language arts and social studies teachers in the fourth grade. This will be from The Comprehension Toolkit Bundle: Language and Lessons for Active Literacy.
