Texas Two Step will enable all 4th graders at J.E.S. to learn Texas history, not only in Social Studies, but also in Language Arts. While reading appealing nonfiction passages, the students will receive more experience with informative text. As part of the grant, quill pens were also purchased. When students are allowed to use authentic quill pens for their journal writing, they will appreciate the struggles of a Texas pioneer.
