Carroll Education Foundation's Grant Recipients and Sponsors 2007

This grant funded a sensory/therapy room that would benefit students in the following areas: A) Provide a therapy room for students with severe cognitive delays to manipulate the environment with motivational materials to meet IEP goals and increase independence. B) This room will also benefit the students that fall under the autism spectrum by providing sensory opportunities for proprioceptive, vestibular and heavy work inputs that are calming and help regulate behavior. C) The sensory room will also be used for inclusive activities where the typical students will find a vast assortment of unique materials to interact with student with special needs.
