Drumming to the Beat of a Different Marcher comes from David Platt, K-4 Music teacher,
in the music room at Durham Elementary. The grant will purchase non-pitched percussion
instruments that will last probably more than 15 years and be used by every student at
DES(approximately 475 per year). The grant covers not only instruments but also books,
DVD's and software to teach children how to play, read and compose rhythms using a musical
score.
