This CEF grant supports the science inquiry involved in Texas Performance Standards
Project. Through this grant, thirty-six fourth grade Quest students will have a variety
of science non-fiction ability-leveled books to read independently and in small groups
as they complete the research phase of their enigma project. The students will also have
the opportunity to design science inquiry investigations with the science equipment purchased
with the grant. The overall goal is for gifted fourth grade students to create advanced products
that reflect the curriculum and instructional goals in the Texas State Plan for the Education of
Gifted/Talented Students.
