The grant was written in hopes of filling a void in our art history curriculum. Students are expected to have a working knowledge of media and materials for cultures the world over on the advanced placement exam. When we researched the CSH library however, little could be discovered in the way of reliable, up-to-date resources. This grant provides collegiate level reading in all major world cultures so that students can explore artforms for themselves, and then share with their peers.
