Grant/Teacher: Developmental Reading Assessment/Laura Scheufler & Darla Evans with Carroll Elementary School
All teachers in grades K-4 will test children at the beginning of the school year to find out what their individual strengths and needs are in planning reading instruction to maximize growth. Children will also be tested at midyear to reassess strengths and needs and finally at the end of year to determine growth. These records will be passed along to the next year's teacher to provide further data on progress over time. This is the first time fourth grade teachers will have access to this new test.
